I went skiing with friends today. There were only four of us. It was a pretty warm day, but very blustery and snowy. Pretty decent powder, especially on Das Boat. Very fun. For the last run of the day, and actually my very last run of the season, I hiked Mary's and skiied down. This was my last run of the season because after that, I went home, and now Targhee is closed for the rest of the 2019-2020 season. Very sad. But, all in all, a nice ski day.
I literally went skiing from nine AM to four PM, the entire day Targhee is open. Almost exactly the same conditions as yesterday, but slightly warmer. Very nice.
Today was amazing! Such a pretty, blue day. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky, and there was barely a soul up at the hill. I arrived around 10:00, ao it was only about an hour after the liffts opened. I was skiing with some of my family and cousins. The only downside of today was that it was very cold. Below-zero cold. Still, it was an awesome day.
I didn't ski for very long today. I hung out only at blackfoot, for the four runs that I did. The wind was insane. Targhee had to close the Dreamcather lift because the top was too windy. Winds were gusting so hard, snow, ice, hail, and other things were being blown up and into the skiiers faces. It was a wild, crazy day. Good snow, a groomer day. The day started out a bluebell sky, but it quickly developed into a hurricane. The rating for January 4, 2020: 3 stars.
